About Shahada.org

Shahada.org exists to give anyone, anywhere, a clear and respectful way to learn and say the Shahada (the Islamic declaration of faith) in their own language—with optional audio to help with pronunciation.

Mission

We focus on one step: understanding what the Shahada means and being able to say it sincerely. We also point to practical next steps—such as ghusl (ritual bath) and salah (prayer)—without replacing a local imam, scholar, or community.

Who maintains this site

Shahada.org is an open-source, volunteer-driven project. Improvements, translations, and fixes come from contributors via GitHub. There is no company selling courses or collecting fees for conversion.

How we approach religious content

We aim for language that is widely accepted among Muslims for introducing the Shahada and basic post-Shahada orientation. Details of law and practice can vary by school of thought and region. For personal rulings or pastoral care, please consult a trusted local scholar or mosque.
